Palworld is more memory-hungry than most survival games. Tiers are being sized around what a real tribe actually needs, not a generic default.

RAM scales with your tribe
A Palworld dedicated server for 4-8 players typically needs around 16 GB of RAM to run smoothly. Larger communities or heavily modded setups need more.
The server runs on its own
A dedicated server keeps your Pals and progress online whether or not the person who set it up is playing. No one has to leave their PC on to host.
